How Online Gambling Has Developed
Tuesday, September 5th, 2006The idea of online gambling began when a few people opened shops on some Caribbean islands - Antigua, Barbuda and Grenada and made public that they would take bets on sport. They took bets over the phone. Most of those people were Americans, and they wanted to open their business on Caribbean islands to escape from U.S. laws. Generally, people cannot make sport bets in America, but they can in Nevada or states which allow horse racing betting. When the Internet came, those bookmakers saw the chance to attract people from all over the world. In 1995, the first two sports books were created on the Internet - Sports International and World-Wide Tele-Sports, (WWTS). From then on, we can say that the online gambling industry has began and the creators have never thought it will be so popular and successful.
